  7. Two ways you can find if a ratio is proportion by using cross multiplication. Then you multiply the denominator by the numerator and if there product equals the same its a proportion. Another way to find if a ratio is proportional is to make the ratio in simplist form.

  8. You can just evaluate the ratio into it's lowest form. You can also use cross multiply to see if they equal the same thing. If they don't you than the ratios aren't proportional.

  9. There are a few ways to show two ratios form a proportion. First is if they are simplified down to the same ratio. You simplify the ratio as a fraction until they're equivalent, or until they cannot be. You can also find the unit rates, and by doing so you can judge if they are equivalent rates. Take 7/14 and 1/2. 7/7 is 1 and 14/7 is 2, therefore forming 1/2 and making them equal.

  10. Two ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion are: cross products and equivalent fractions. First if you have two fractions, for example 5/2 and 10/4, you can find the product of 5 and 4 which is 20. Next you multiply 2 and 10, which is 20. Since 20 and 20 are equal these two ratios are equal. The second way is to simplify the ratios. If you have 5/2 and 10/4 you can simplify them and if the simplified version is equal then they are equal ratios.

  11. Two ratios form a proportion when their total equals the same quantity. If you are trying to figure out whether two fractions form a proportion or not, you can do it multiply ways. If your two ratios are 1/2 and 2/4, you can multiply 1 times 4, and 2 times 2. Since both of these equations equal 4, they are proportional. If both of the equations didn't equal the same product, then they would not be proportional.

  12. To tell if two ratios are proportional, you could simplify both of them. If the simplified fractions are the same, then you know that they're proportional. Another way to tell if two ratios are proportional is to use cross products. Cross multiply the numerator of one ratio by the denominator of the other ratio. Then do it again with the other denominator and nominator that you have not used. If the two products you get at equal you know that the ratios are proportional.

  13. Two ways that you can tell if two ratios form a proportion are to use cross products or to simplify to simplest form. To use cross products, you multiply the denominator of one ratio by the numerator of the other. Then you multiply the numerator of the first ratio and the denominator of the second. If the two products are equal, then the ratios are proportional. To use simplest form, simplify the ratios and see if they are equal.

  14. If two ratios are equivalent then they form a proportion or are proportional. There are two ways to figure out if two ratios form a proportion. You could cross multiply. This means that you multiply the numerators and denominators of opposite ratios. If both products are equivalent, then the ratios are proportional. You could also simplify. After simplifying the ratios, compare these new ratios. If they are equivalent, they form a proportional.

  15. Two ways that you can tell if two ratios are proportional is to use the grid method, and cross products. The grid method is used by plotting the ratios on a grid. Then take a straight edge and make it go through the point. If the line continues going straight and passes through the origin then the ratios are proportional. The cross product method is to multiply the numbers diagonally from each other. Then is the product of both the crosses is equal they are proportional.

  16. Two ways to tell if ratios are proportional is by cross multiplying finding and by simplifying the ratios. To cross multiply, you need to multiply the numerator by the denominator of the other ratio, then you multiply the denominator of the first ratio by the numerator of the other. If the products are equal the ratios are equivalent. Another way to find out if two ratios are proportional is by simplifying them as much as possible and if the new ratios are the same ratio, then the ratios are equivalent.

  17. Two ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion is:
    1. Simplify the ratios and if they are equal they form a proportion. For example, 2/4 and 3/6. Simplify 2/4 which is 1/2. simplify 3/6 which is also 1/2. 1/2=1/2 so 2/4 and 3/6 are proportional.
    2. Cross multiply. For example, 4/5 and 8/9. 4*9=36 and 5*8=40. 36 doesn't equal 40 so 4/5 and 8/9 aren't proportional.

  18. One way that you can tell if two ratios are proportional is you can use cross products. Cross products is when you take the numerator on one ratio and multiply it by the denominator on the other ratio.
Then you take the denominator on the first ratio and multiply it by the numerator on the second ratio. If the product is the same for both, they are proportional.
Another way is to convert them to fractions, then simplify them. If they simplify to the same fraction, then they are proportional.

  21. One way to find out if two ratios are proportional is to simplify both ratios, and if the ratios are equivalent, they are proportional. Another way to find out if ratios are proportional is to find cross products. First you convert the ratios to fractions. You then take the numerator of one number, then you multiply it by other denominator of the opposite number to get x. Then you take the numerator from the fraction that hasn't had the numerator used yet, and multiply it from the denominator of the fraction that hasn't been used yet to get y. If x and y are equivalent, then you know that the ratios are proportional.

  22. One way to show that two ratios form a proportion is to cross multiply. Multiply one denominator by the other ratio's numerator.Do that for both sides and if the product is the same, the ratios are proportional.Another way to show that two ratios are proportional is to find the unit rate.Take on ratio and divide the denominator by itself to get one. Then divide that ratio's numerator by the same number to get the unit rate.Do the same thing to the other ratio and if the unit rate is the same, they are proportional.

  23. One way you can tell if two ratios are proportional is that you can cross multiply. This is when you multiply the numerator by the denominator that is diagonal from it. You do it to both sides of the ratios. If they are equal, they are proportional. Another way to tell if two ratios are proportional is that you can make a table or chart of them and find the unit rate of each. You can also make a graph and see if the line of the ratios are equal to the origin of the graph. If the line doesn't meet with the origin, it doesn't form a proportion. These are some ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion.

  24. One way that you can tell that two ratios are proportional is the cross products method. You multiply the numerator of one fraction and the denominator of the other fraction. If you get the same answer then they are proportional. Another way that you can tell is by comparing the ratios in simplest form. You keep reducing the ratios until they are in simplest form. If the ratios are the same they are proportional.

  25. One way to tell if two ratios form a proportion is to use cross products. You write the ratios as fractions. You multiply the numerator in the first fraction by the denominator in the second fraction. You then multiply the denominator in the first fraction by the numerator in the second fraction. If the two products are equivalent, then the two ratios form a proportion. The other way is to simplify the ratios. If you write the ratio as a fraction, then you can write the fraction in simplest form. If the two fractions are equivalent in simplest form, then the two ratios form a proportion.

  26. Two ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion are cross-multiplying and making a graph. To cross-multiply, you multiply the numerator of the first ratio with the denominator of the second ratio, and then multiply the denominator of the first ratio with the numerator of the second ratio. If the products are the same, then the ratios form a proportion. The second way is making a graph. You plot the ratio on a graph, using the numerator as the x axis and the denominator as the y axis. If the plotted points make a line that goes through the origin, 0,0, then the ratios make a proportion.

  27. Two ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion is that you can cross multiply the two ratios. To find out if it's a proportion you have to get two products that are the same value. The second way is to write them as fractions then divide them than simplify them.

  28. One way to tell if two ratios form a proportion is to change the ratios to fractions, then simplify the fractions, and see if the fractions are the same. If they are the same, then they are proportional. For example, if you are comparing the two ratios 1:2 and 2:4, you can change them to 1/2 and 2/4. Then you can simplify them, and simplified they are both 1/2, so they are proportional. Another way to tell if two ratios are proportional is to use cross products. To use cross products, you first change the ratios to fractions. Then you multiply the numerator of the first fraction by the denominator of the second fraction, and the other way around. If the product of the cross multiplying are the same, then the ratios are proportional. For example, if you have the ratios 1:2 and 2:4, then you change them into a fraction. Then you have 1/2 and 2/4. Then you multiply 1 by 4 = 4, and 2 by 2 = 4, they both equal the same thing.

  29. Two ways you can tell if two ratios are proportion is by finding the cross product and by graphing the ratios. You find the cross product by multiplying one of the ratios denominator by the others numerator. If the products are equal the ratios are proportional. Also, you graph ratios by plotting them on a graph. If you draw a line connecting the points and the line goes into the origin, the ratios are proportional.

  30. Two ways you can tell that two ratios form a proportion are by cross multiplying and simplify the fractions. The reason these two ratios work is because for cross multiplying, is for example, are 3/4 and 4/5 proportional or not proportional? Well, first you multiply across the fractions (3x5 and 4x4). Then, you get 15=16 and 15 and 16 are not equivalent. Another example for simplifying is 1/2 and 4/8. Proportional or not proportional. They are proportional because 1/2 simplified is 1/2 and 4/8 simplified is 1/2 and 1/2=1/2.

  31. There are two ways you can tell if two ratios form a proportion. First, you can find the unit rate of each proportion. If the unit rates are the same they form a proportion. Otherwise, they don't form a proportion. For example, take 4/12 and 1/3. 4/12's unit rate is 1/3 and 1/3 is a unit rate. Because 1/3 and 1/3 are the same, the ratios are proportional. Another way you can tell is by doing cross products. For example, take 5/10 and 3/30. 5 times 30 is 150, and 3 times 10 is 30. 150 doesn't equal 30, so the ratios aren't equivalent. These are the two ways to find if two ratios are proportional.

When you get the answers you then see if the ratios are equal. If they are, they are proportional. example: 3/4=6/9 which is equal to (3x6)=(4x9) which is equal to 18=36
